| Most of our Adults (mostly retired female cocker spaniels age 5 or over)(usually 5-6) are FREE to the right family with a spay agreement. If already spayed there may be a charge generally equal to the spay fee. Occasionally there is a small fee on certain dogs. Requirements for adopting one of our adults: 1. Someone homes days as that is what they are used to. 2. Own your home. Home must have a fenced yard. 3. Finances available to afford grooming and vet care. 4. Potential owner or family (entire family) must meet and visit with available dog to make sureeveryone is compatible. We will also decide whether the dog is compatible with current family pets and lifestyle.(spayed female retirees generally do best in homes without other unknown female adult dogs, neutered males are generally fine. We do sometimes place two of our retirees together as they know each other and generally have grown up together. 5. We have right of refusal as we want to make the best match for each dog to sure all our retirees stay happy in their new homes. |
